BACKGROUND UH, IT'S THE PARK WAS NEARING COMPLETION AND OPENING THE NEED FOR A SHARED PARKING LOT, UH, FOR THE AREA BECAME APPARENT ON MAY 18TH THE BOARD DIRECTED STAFF TO PUT TOGETHER A COST ANALYSIS FOR A TEMPORARY SURFACE LEVEL PARKING LOT AT LA VERDE PARK ON THE 22ND OF JUNE 2023. THE BOARD DIRECTORS STAFF TO PROCEED WITH THE WHOLE TRACK WITH SE VERY VARIOUS OPTIONS AND TO BRING AN ALTERNATE PROPOSAL TO INCLUDE CHARGING STATIONS. SEPTEMBER 7TH. THE BOARD APPROVED A CONTRACT, UH, FOR 30% DESIGN FOR WITH WG. I INCORPORATED, UH, 30% PLAN. ARE NEAR COMPLETION AND REQUIRE FEEDBACK FROM THE FROM THE BOARD ON THE LANDSCAPING ALTERNATIVES.

IT'S IMPORTANT POINT TO REMEMBER . SO I'LL NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS IN A MINUTE. UH WG. I ALSO PROVIDED A PROPOSAL IN AN AMOUNT OF 100 AND $41,230 TO COMPLETE THE PLANT'S SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES FOR THE PROJECT. UH, THERE ARE SIX PROPOSED EV CHARGING SPACES, PLUS AN ADDITIONAL SIX BASES IF WE NEED THEM IN THE FUTURE, UH, THERE'S LIGHTING, THERE'S LANDSCAPING, IRRIGATION AND DISCREET STREETSCAPE IS PROPOSED FOR GUARDIAN ON THE SOUTH FRONTAGE AND BURN HIM ON THE WEST FRONTAGE UP TO LAVE THE PARKING LOT. IT'S A LOWER MAINTENANCE, BUT IT'S WATERFRONT AND LOW MAINTENANCE AND WATER FRIENDLY, SO WE DON'T HAVE TO WATER AS MUCH. AND OF COURSE, THE LAST OPTION IS TO NOT APPROVE THE CONTRACT.

RECOMMENDATION IS TO PROVE THE CONTRACT WITH WG. TO CHOOSE EITHER PLAN ONE B OR PLAN TWO.

THE DESERT. WHEN WE GO BACK TO THE DESERT LAYOUT. THAT YOU WANTED TO SEE. IS THAT IS THAT ALL THERE IS. BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT THAT'S IT. OR DID YOU WANT TO SEE THE PLAN ITSELF? THE PLANE ITSELF. SO I LIKE THE DESERT PLAN. I THINK IT'S REALLY GOOD. I SAW SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS AND, UH, PHOENIX AND I THOUGHT IT WAS A REALLY BEAUTIFUL PARKING LOT. I THINK WE COULD MAKE IT WORK.

BUT THE OTHER THING IS, I WANNA MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE PLANNING IF WE DO ANY TREES AT ALL, MAKING SURE THAT WE'RE PUTTING TREES THAT WHO WOULD HAS THE ROOT THAT GOES DOWN INSTEAD OF OUT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO DESTROY ANY SIDEWALKS OR ANY PARKING LOTS AS THEY'RE GROWING SO MAKING SURE WE'RE LOOKING AT WHAT KIND OF TREES WERE PUTTING IN THERE AND MAKING SURE IT'S A ROOT SYSTEM THAT GOES DOWNWARD, OK? IMPROVEMENTS FOR CALLERS AT VENNER CENTERS AND CROMWELL.

BACKGROUND ON THIS ONE IS THAT, UH, WE WERE ALL AUTHORIZED BY COUNSEL TO DO A PRELIMINARY ENGINEER REPORT AT THE VARIOUS INTERSECTIONS AT CROMWELL, BENNER AND SANDERS AND THE STATION POSSIBLE IMPROVEMENTS. UH, STAFF REPRESENTATIVE FINDINGS ON FEBRUARY 7TH TO COUNCIL AND, UH, P ER PRELIMINARY ENGINE REPORT RECOMMENDED ROUNDABOUTS AT THOSE LOCATIONS OVER TRAFFIC SIGNALS. AND BASED ON THAT DECISION WAS DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE TOURS BOARD FOR THEIR REVIEW AND POSSIBLY FUNDING THAT THOSE PROJECTS. ON MAY 18TH. THE TSE BOARD PROVED ISSUING A REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENTS. WE WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS AND, UH, AMERICAN STRUCTURE POINT WAS SELECTED AS A FIRM TO DO THE ROUNDABOUT DESIGN. ON NOVEMBER 29TH 2023, THE TOURS BOARD APPROVED A CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN STRUCTURE POINT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF 30 PER CENT SCHEMATIC SET OF PLANS. THIS IS OUR TEST ORDER. UH, THEY THEY THIS IS WHERE THEY ARE TODAY ON THAT REPORT. THEY'RE AT THE 10% ON THE SUMMARY REPORT. THEY'RE AT 30% OF THE DESIGN SCHEMATIC. THEY'RE WORKING ON THE CONCEPTUAL LAYOUTS THAT YOU STILL NEED TO COMPLETE THEIR ENVIRONMENTAL DASHBOARD REVIEW.

RECEIVE A, UH, PROJECT UPDATE REPORT AND WHOLE DISCUSSION ON THE CONSTRUCTION STATUS OF THE RETAIL ROAD FACILITIES AND ASSOCIATED IMPROVEMENTS IN THE BRICK AND MORTAR DISTRICT. THERE'S A BACKGROUND ON THIS SEPTEMBER. 5TH 23 COUNCIL APPROVE THE SIGNING OF THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN PLUM CREEK DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS AND WAIWG. I INCORPORATED INTO THE CITY. THEY COMPLETED THEIR CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND ADVERTISED THE PROJECTS. UH, IN IN DECEMBER OF 2023. UNFORTUNATELY WE DID NOT GET ANY BIDS WHATSOEVER ON FEBRUARY 1ST OF 2024 SO THE CONTRACT BIDDING DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN REVISED BASED ON CONTRACTOR FEEDBACK, AND THAT CONSISTS OF ONE BASE BID AND ONE ALTERNATE BID. SO WE'RE HOPING TO GET SOME BIDS. UH, THIS TIME FROM THE CONTRACTORS, UH, WE DO EXPECT TO GET THOSE BIDS ON MARCH THE 21ST OF THIS MONTH. ONCE WE OPEN THOSE BIDS, WE'LL HAVE TO REVIEW THE CONTRACTS, HOPEFULLY, WITH AT LEAST 2 TO 3 BIDS. HOPEFULLY THEN WE'LL GET A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION FROM WG. I AND THEN WE'LL BRING BACK THAT. SO YOU TALKED ABOUT NOT GETTING ANY BIDS EARLY ON, WAS IT BECAUSE WE JUST HAVE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH CONTRACTORS OUT THERE OR WHAT? WHAT WAS THE CASE? WHY WE DIDN'T GET SO MANY ANY BIDS FOR IT WHEN WE'VE ORIGINALLY POSTED IT. WE HAD QUITE A FEW VENDORS AND CONTRACTORS PICK UP THE PLANS. WE TRACK THAT THROUGH A BIDDING AGENCY THAT WE USE. AND SO WE HAD GOOD, GOOD. UH, AMOUNT OF FOLKS HAVE PICKED UP THE PLANS, BUT THE FEEDBACK WE GOT WAS THERE WERE TOO MANY ALTERNATIVES. IT WAS TOO CONFUSING. AND UH SO WE DECIDED TO MAKE IT AS SIMPLE AS WE COULD, WITH AGAIN ONE BASE BID AND ONE ALTERNATE RATHER THAN HAVING ALL THESE DIFFERENT OPTIONS. SO UH, THEY DIDN'T WANNA ACTUALLY TAKE TIME TO GO THROUGH EACH ONE OF THE BIDS ALTERNATES THAT WE HAD ON THERE AND THAT THAT'S WHY THEY DIDN'T BID ON IT. SO IT'S COMPLICATED FOR THAT, JUST MAKING SURE WE DIDN'T HAVE A SHORTAGE IN THE AREA OF CONTRACTORS TO DO WORK. THAT KIND OF SCARED ME THERE FOR A MINUTE. I APPRECIATE THE EXPLANATION, LEON.
